First let us thank everyone that helped make this first phase of Pocket Journey possible! We'd never be here with an alpha release without your participation and feedback. We have already recieved significant feedback from the alpha launch and are busy incorporating that into the next phase.

In preparation for a future beta launch. we are now building a team with the right combination of business vision and product development know-how to execute what we believe is the most viable approach to geo-tagging of multimedia content. If you are interested in participating in Pocket Journey (as a developer or audio/video guide) or just want to discuss the future of location-aware information & services, then please read the next section below. We are always eager to meet others interested in the convergence of these new location-based & mobile technologies.

To kick off some dialogue. We'd love to hear your thoughts on the future of location-aware content. At this early stage in the merging of online content with geo-spatial coordinates, a consensus has not developed around what exactly is "location-aware content".

In the case of Pocket Journey though, "location-aware content" will be information (captured as audio, video, PDF, ... files) that is associated with & describe a particular GPS location. That location might be a building, statue, point of historic importance (battlefield, asteroid impact, ...), or even a tree or geologic formation - essentially any location on the planet that people want to create and attached content to.

We eagerly look forward to this newest phase in blending of the online & the offline ("real") world.
